Our founder never had time to contribute to our content. And when she did, she ended up just giving a broad history of the company that I could have written for her. This was a saving grace.
We needed our founder to contribute to our content, because her insights were what made the company unique.
But that was always easier said than done.

Without her input, our content would never really ‘sing’ – even with all the research in the world from our talented team or our super co-operative (and patient!) agency.
Time was sparse, though, and contributing always felt like a bigger and more intimidating prospect than it actually was. So she constantly put it off, or asked us to just pull something together without her.
Worse still, when she did contribute, she ended up just giving a broad history of the company that I could have written for her… or that the content writers could have pulled from the website.
By the time she’d moved off that topic, her time was up and the next meeting was already due to start!
This ‘bullet template’ was a saving grace.
It helped her to focus 100% on the value that she could add, as opposed to the basics. And because it’s just a single page, it was never too intimidating.
